Description & Learning objectives

This Level 3 and Level 4 course provides a comprehensive exploration of anti-bullying practice within services supporting children who are looked after across the United Kingdom. It strengthens your understanding of bullying as a safeguarding issue, deepens your ability to analyse behaviour through a trauma-informed lens, and supports you to lead effective, evidence-based responses within your professional context. The course connects legislation, standards, research, and real-world leadership so that anti-bullying practice becomes embedded in everyday systems rather than treated as a standalone task.

Learning Objectives:

  • Assess the nature, impact, and patterns of bullying within care environments and evaluate associated safeguarding risks.
  • Analyse bullying behaviour using trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and rights-based frameworks to inform professional judgement.
  • Lead the development and implementation of anti-bullying systems, policies, and cultures within your setting.
  • Develop inclusive, restorative, and preventative strategies that promote safety, belonging, and accountability.
  • Critically evaluate existing procedures and work effectively with multi-agency partners to strengthen safeguarding responses.

This course is CPD accredited and adheres to the training, support and development standards outlined in The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
